It was a wonderful night for not only for Nailcote Hall Hotels new Bride of the Year but also for owners Rick and Sue Cressman and the staff at The Hall.

After two years it was lovely to be able to get together without Covid19 putting restrictions upon us. Nailcote Hall were finally able to present the confirmed booked Brides and their Bridegrooms a chance to win the fabulous prize of up to £5000 from the price of their wedding.

All the attended invited couples who get married this year came along to the event just before Valentines Day. It was also a pleasure to see many of the recommended wedding suppliers at the event.

At the end of the function a draw was made from all the names of the couples who attended and Nailcote Halls new Bride of the Year was announced.

The lucky Bride to be was Nina Kaur Gill. She was absolutely shocked and stunned at being picked out as the Bride of the Year. In fact, both she and her future husband Balraj Singh Dhaliwal sat at the back of function room for a while and although they heard their names called out they didn’t think it was for the prize at all. It just hadn’t sunk in that they had won the coveted prize.

It took about 30 seconds for them to both realise they had won but were absolutely over the moon. Nina from Coventry, a Key Account Manager for automotive customers works for EMS Grivory and Balraj from Walsall a Director of a Convenience Store Group met 2 1/2 years ago. They said their love of cars brought them together. Their first meeting was in a local BMW Showroom with a bit of fun banter about whose car was the best and started a debate about all sorts of vehicles. Balraj then said they should carry on the debate over dinner which they arranged shortly after their meeting.

It was a mutual understanding that they would get married and the decision was made after a weekend away at the Sunborn Yacht Hotel in London to look for suitable venues.

Nina said, although they had a list of venues to view, Nailcote Hall was the first. Once seeing the historic building with the beautiful grounds, gardens and luxury Marquee they didn’t feel there was a need to go to look any further. Balraj commented that he felt very comfortable in the hotel and had instantly made a connection with the staff. They are now getting ready for their wedding on 14^th August this year.

Rick and Sue Cressman along with all the Management and staff at Nailcote Hall are delighted for their new Bride of the Year and her future husband along with all the other winners of various prizes on the night.

We feel very proud that Nailcote Hall has been chosen by all our wedding couples. To stage their special day and after nearly two years unable to perform full weddings due to unforeseen circumstances that the Pandemic caused us we are so happy that we can now see the smiling faces of our Bride and Bridegrooms on their first step into married life together.

The search now continues to find Nailcote Halls Bride of the Year 2023.
